Rotel’s new RDV-1060 single-disc DVD-A player is as remarkably flexible as it is singularly affordable. Drawing on the groundbreaking technology of the acclaimed RDV-1080 and our renowned CD players, this unit combines advanced internal components with Rotel’s time-proven Balanced Design approach for truly superior sound. A high capacity, fully isolated linear power supply provides stable voltage and current for each circuit. The advanced optical transport system reads DVD-A, DVD-V, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-V, and MP3-encoded discs. The high-rigidity disc platform means fewer data errors, less correction, and better sound quality.

The RDV-1060 features Dolby Digital, DTS, and DVD-A capability. Three advanced Cirrus Logic/Crystal Semiconductor 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converters handle the often difficult “domain transition” with aplomb to make sure that all discs sound as good as they possibly can. Analog Devices operational amplifiers drive high current six- and two-channel analog audio outputs with supplemental coaxial and optical digital outputs for maximum flexibility. On the video side, the RDV-1060 complements any home theater system with composite, S-, and component video outputs fed by a high-speed 12-bit video digital-to-analog converter. In addition, the RDV-1060’s progressive video capability provides superlative picture quality for even a largescreen home theater system. The RDV-1060 is also designed to make full use of today’s multizone demands. Indeed, the bi-directional RS232 data port ensures compatibility with virtually any whole-home control system. A 12-volt trigger input and rear panel IR (infrared) jacks make the RDV-1060 the perfect player for less-complex systems. A hand-held IR remote control is supplied for easy operation from the comfort of your favorite armchair.
